Jillian and Spencer live in San Francisco and have always loved wine country getaways, so it felt only natural to bring their closest friends and family to Healdsburg for their wedding weekend. With its sweeping views, elegant atmosphere, and intimate layout, Montage Healdsburg provided the perfect mix of luxury and California charm.
Their planner, Easton Events, brought the couple’s vision to life with incredible attention to detail — blending vibrant florals, playful linens, and European-inspired elements that gave the whole day a joyful, elevated feel.
Getting Ready and First Look
The day started out crisp and bright — perfect June weather for a wedding in the hills. Jillian wore a Vera Wang gown for the ceremony, romantic and timeless with soft details that suited her effortlessly. Spencer kept it classic in a white tux jacket, which looked sharp and relaxed in the natural setting.
Before the ceremony, Jillian and Spencer shared an emotional first look. It was one of those quiet, meaningful moments that made everything feel real. Jillian’s tears of joy said it all — this was the moment it all sank in. As a photographer, it was an honor to witness and document such tenderness.
Ceremony in the Vines
With the California hills as their backdrop, Jillian and Spencer exchanged vows surrounded by lush greenery and sunshine. The floral design by Kathleen Deery blended beautifully with the natural surroundings — colorful without being overpowering, soft without losing personality. Reception Inspired by Lake Como
After the ceremony, guests were invited into a jaw-dropping reception tent inspired by the bride’s travels to Passalacqua hotel in Lake Como. The striped canopy, patterned linens, and joyful color palette created a feeling of relaxed elegance — European summer meets wine country dream.
Easton Events executed every detail flawlessly, while Kathleen Deery brought in florals that complemented the layered textures and bold design. It felt intimate yet grand, playful yet sophisticated — exactly what the couple had envisioned.
Jillian changed into a second look for the reception — a pink Naeem Khan dress full of floral appliqués that brought the fun and movement. It was perfect for dancing, and it reflected her joyful personality beautifully.
A Night to Remember
The party was incredible. The band, Elan Artists, absolutely brought the energy. One moment I’ll never forget: their live performance of “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. It gave me chills. The entire dance floor sang along, the bride beaming in her second dress, surrounded by people who love her and Spencer so deeply.
It was a celebration in every sense — music, movement, color, and connection. Instead of formality, the night unfolded with ease and pure joy. It was one of those weddings that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a story you don’t want to end.
